Restricted uses policy
This is version 1.1, and is considered active as of May 10, 2024 12:00 AM.
Change Summary: Clarified our stance on software resellers..
We are proud of the tools and functionality we provide to flying clubs, organisations, and groups alike. We also recognise that no matter how good our intentions, sometimes we may attract the wrong crowd or amplify the ability for our platforms to cause great harm, which is why we have this policy.
We will state clearly that our platform and services are not safe havens for people who wish to cause harm to others. We feel an ethical obligation to counter any harm where Volanti is used (and abused) to facilitate it.
If you have an account with any of our products, you cannot use them for any purposes listed below. If we find out, we will take action inline with our terms of service.
Cybersquatting: We don't like shake down artists. If you create a Volanti account in someone else's name and attempt to sell that account to them, you are subject to immediate cancellation. We may ban you from creating accounts in the future as both an organisation owner, and as a user at an organisation.
Resales: We work with very select resale partners and do not operate an open-door policy to new resellers - we have no need to do so. If you attempt to sell our services acting as a "middle (wo)man" or intermediary, without our explicit written consent, then any accounts you create will be subject to immediate cancellation.
Child exploitation or abuse: We don't tolerate businesses or individuals that create, disseminate, or otherwise cause child abuse.
Harassment and Hate Speech: You cannot use our products to promote or demand the extermination, domination, or oppression of people. Intimidating or targeting people or groups (including racial slurs or dehumanising language) through communication methods on our platform is not welcome.
Doxing: If you are using Volanti products to share other peoples' private personal information for the purpose of harassment, we don't want anything to do with you.
Phishing or otherwise attempting fraud: Organisations that prey on people's finances, or attempt to extort money from others, or impersonate other businesses, are not the type of company we keep.
Spamming: No one wants unsolicited commercial emails. We don't tolerate folks using Volanti products for spamming purposes. This includes using us as a way of managing potential leads.
We hope we've made our stance on the types of usage we do not tolerate on the platform, clear. You'll understand that this list cannot be exhaustive, and as such it's possible that the behaviour of an organisation could escape categorisation, or highlight a scenario we had not considered. However, if you still remain in doubt as to what our intentions are: Volanti is not to be used for harm of any kind.
If you wish to report suspected abuse of our platform policies, you can email our team on [email protected]. We will always carry out independent investigations, which means that if you're unsure, you can report it knowing we'll give your concerns the time and attention they deserve.
